Dear Parents/Guardians,

I would like to welcome you and your child to my class! This year will be filled with reading, writing, listening, and speaking as required by the English Language Arts Course of Study and the College and Career Readiness Standards for literacy.  

I have a passion for middle school students, and I love to see them learn new things and to express their creativity.  My primary focus is to expand your child's vocabulary and help him or her develop a love for reading.  I also value critical thinking and will utilize a variety of strategies that ensure your child goes beyond the basic level of thinking and comprehending.  Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have throughout the year.
